Owey Island is situated in the Atlantic Ocean near Kincasslagh, off the Donegal coast. It was last inhabited full time in the late 70's and lay almost dormant for over 25 years. Now, with around 20 houses restored and in use, the island has been transformed from an abandoned village to a seasonal living community.
